The new version of the flagship sedan Acura RLX appeared before the General public on the stage of the summer California automobile exhibition in August 2017. In fact, the model is a planned and rather global restyling of the first generation, which was released in 2013. To distinguish the novelty from its predecessors is not difficult, it has stylish, pointed headlights with elegant eyeliner led daytime running lights. The main feature of such optics is a set of small focusing lenses in each block. They perfectly illuminate the road and give the car a unique charm. The grille has a hexagonal shape and flaunts a massive logo of the manufacturer. It consists of many small horizontal ribs and chrome lining along the contour. Under it, on the front bumper, there is a small elongated slit of the air intake. It is covered with a plastic mesh with hexagonal cells and serves as a haven for tiny blocks of fog lights. In General, the car began to look much more modern, got a lot of nice cosmetic changes, but at the same time, has not lost its family features.
The Acura RDX is a premium four-door full-size sedan. Its overall dimensions are: length 4982 mm, width 1890 mm, height 1465 mm, and wheelbase-2850 mm. Clearance of the car is quite small – only 115 millimeters. Thanks to such a low ground clearance, it perfectly keeps the road, fits into steep turns and does not lose stability even at high speeds. Also, it is worth noting the fully-controlled chassis AWS, which gives additional maneuverability in all operating modes.

From now on, all this traction digests automatic transmission with ten stages, which replaced the old six-band. Thanks to a wide range of gear ratios, the engine can work longer in optimal mode, which improves dynamics and efficiency.
For an additional fee, the sedan can be equipped with a fairly advanced hybrid system. It is based on the same V6, which is paired with an electric motor for 35 kW. It is embedded with a robotic seven-speed gearbox and drives the front wheels. The rear axle is also not left without attention, on each wheel there is an electric motor for 29 kW each. Thanks to this technical solution, the sedan was all-wheel drive. the ability to move exclusively on electric traction, as well as a total of 377 HP and 511 Nm of torque.
Acura RDX is in step with the times. It has a memorable and quite unusual design, which is the best way to emphasize the individuality and status of its owner in society. Such a car will not dissolve in the gray everyday flow and will not get lost in the large Parking lot of the shopping center.
