The manufacturer of premium motor oils Castrol brings to the Russian market completely synthetic engine oil Castrol GTX 5W-40 A3 / B4.
The new product will complement the line of Castrol GTX, which in 2018 will turn 50 years old. The Castrol GTX range is specifically designed for cars that are used in harsh conditions, such as frequent engine operation in stop-motion (stop-start) modes, poor fuel quality, harsh climate and extended oil change intervals. Such loads contribute to the formation on the engine parts of dense resinous deposits – sludge, which, in turn, can lead to deterioration of the circulation of oil and premature failure of the motor. Products of the Castrol GTX series have enhanced detergent properties and provide excellent engine protection from the formation of hazardous deposits, increasing the reliability of its operation. The new engine oil will expand the Castrol GTX range in Russia, which previously was represented by Castrol GTX Ultraclean 10W-40 A3 / B4 lubricant with synthetic components.
Another key feature of the Castrol GTX 5W-40 A3 / B4 is that it will be the first completely synthetic engine oil Castrol in the budget segment of the Russian lubricants market. “Castrol products were previously represented only in the premium segment, and all the more important for our company is entering the new, more massive and budgetary segment of the market for us,” says Castrol CEO Leonid Kobrin. “At the same time, the new product is a high-quality engine oil developed in accordance with strict world standards.”
The Castrol GTX 5W-40 A3 / B4 is suitable for use in gasoline and diesel engines in which the manufacturer recommends the use of lubricants corresponding to the viscosity class SAE 5W-40 and the ACEA A3 / B4, API SM / CF or earlier in performance level . It is approved for use in motor vehicles requiring the use of engine oils specifications Renault RN 0700 / RN 0710 and VW 502 00/505 00.
Castrol GTX 5W-40 A3 / B4 is designed for use in cars of foreign and domestic production and is designed for engines of such popular models as: Renault Logan, Renault Sandero, Renault Duster, Skoda Rapid, VW Polo, LADA Vesta, LADA Largus, Nissan Almera , Chevrolet Niva, and others.
The new engine oil Castrol GTX 5W-40 A3 / B4, like other Castrol lubricants for cars, is produced at one of the company’s factories in Europe and is exported to Russia. The product will be available to consumers in cans of 1 liter and 4 liters, as well as in barrels of 60 liters and 208 liters for wholesale buyers and service stations. The first cans of the product will appear on store shelves as early as August 2018.
